Shortcuts let you save pre-written messages (for example: greetings, signatures, disclaimers, or FAQs) and insert them into a chat in seconds—so your team can reply faster and stay consistent.
Create a library of commonly used messages
Insert a shortcut while you’re typing (no copy/paste)
Edit or delete shortcuts at any time
Open Settings in the app.
Go to the Shortcuts tab.
Select Create Shortcut.
Enter:
Name (how you’ll recognise it)
Message (the text you want inserted/sent)
Save.
Tip: Use clear names like Intro, Closing, Opt-out, Support hours.
Open Settings → Shortcuts.
Select the shortcut you want to change.
Choose Edit (update the name or message) or Delete.
Open the conversation.
Click the Shortcut button (lightning bolt icon).
Choose the shortcut you want.
Review the message (if needed), then send.
While typing a message, type a # to quickly insert a shortcut.
I can’t see the Shortcuts tab: Check you’re in the app Settings (not device settings) and try closing/reopening the app.
My shortcut didn’t insert: Try the lightning bolt icon instead of the hashtag method, then re-try.
Team consistency: If you use shortcuts for compliance or standard wording, agree internal naming conventions (for example, Legal - …, Support - …).
